Daeshia is a 22 year old friendly, happy young woman with cerebral palsy. She has been raised and taken care of her since she was three months old by her Paw Paw, Freddie Johnson and her Nana, Denise Johnson. Both of whom are older and have their own health problems. The purpose of this fundraiser is to be able to purchase a ceiling lift that will aide them in being able to transfer Daeshia from her bed to the tub, which alone is $11,000. They are very active with Daeshia and don’t believe in just leaving her in the bed all day, so when they do move her they have to manually carry her to the tub or carry her to her chair and transport her that way. This lift would be a huge aide to her grandparents.
