Hi my name is Louise.
In October, my dad was diagnosed with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). Due to his underlying condition of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), he was told that treatment options were very limited. Despite his bravery, he suffered severe pain due to nerve and cellular death in his feet and legs. The only pain relief available was unfortunately incompatible with his COPD and his failing heart.
He passed away peacefully at home on the 19th of February. Throughout his life, he made countless sacrifices, particularly in caring for his three children, one of whom is severely disabled with cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia, and brain damage. These responsibilities often prevented him from fulfilling many of his own aspirations. Nevertheless, he was always there to help anyone in need. His selflessness and compassion touched the lives of many. Even up to his last day he was worried about everyone else and was apologising endlessly. He always tried to stay positive even tough you could see he was scared knowing he was in his final weeks of life.
As we prepare for his funeral, which will be held on the 19th of March, we are kindly asking for donations to help cover the costs. If my dad touched your life in any way, any small donation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time.
I would also like to mention that my mom had to give up work to help care for my dad in his final months and will struggle to adjust financially. Any extra financial support will go to her to help clear any debt in their name.
Thank you for reading our story x
