Dad's Recovery - Moe Philippe

On Sunday, September 15th, 2024 my dad was in a motorcycle accident. Thankfully he is alive, but his injuries are extensive and he has a long road ahead of him until he's fully recovered.

I'm creating this gofundme in hopes to alleviate some of his stress and worry financially while he's in the hospital and through his recovery. As we all know, stress can greatly impact healing, and even if someone has insurances in case of things like this... There are processes, it takes time, and not everything is ultimately covered.

As a parent myself now, I get it. He tends to worry about "his girls" before himself. His girls being his wife Connie, daughters Patsy, Jessica & Jennifer (me). Not to mention all our babies, his granddaughters, Aurora, Ivy & Lyra. I very much want to return the lifetime of love and favours this man has done for each of us girls over the years.

Currently I've flown home on a one-way ticket, not knowing the extent of his injuries when I first received the news of the crash. Fully intending to make sure everything I can possibly handle for him is taken care of before I have no choice but to head home back to my own life and daughter. As of right now, I do know he won't be walking or driving anything on his own anytime soon. So there is a lot of building/installing adjustments needing done right away to his house. This is to ensure that once he's capable of finishing healing at home, he will be allowed to go home. Things like ramps to get a wheelchair in, transfer bars in the bathroom etc. These are the priority things I'm fundraising for him at this time, as well as covering bills until his insurance is sorted out.

Many who know me, know that I've already lost someone near and dear to heart from a motorcycle accident and I'm not alone in knowing that loss. Again, I'm so so SO thankful dad is still with us and I thank anyone and everyone, who is willing to help me in any way they can to get him back home and healthy again.

This man is my daddy, my everything... he made me who I am today.
