Hello everyone,

At the end of January, my dad suffered multiple strokes, and our lives have changed drastically. He came home on March 20th, but he still cannot stand or walk on his own and he requires constant care. He is unable to use the right side of his body much.

My mom has been caring for him 24/7, often sleeping in a recliner by his side, and it’s taken a toll on her. While my brother and I are doing our best to help, we’re both working full-time and most of this load has been left on my mom.

Many of his care needs, including nursing help and basic supplies, are out of pocket since insurance does not cover it. Even occasional support, like an overnight nurse, would allow my mom to rest.

We’re raising funds to help cover these costs and give her the break she truly needs. Any support means so much to our family.

My dad was a volunteer coach for many years and he is always the first to want to help anyone in need. We are asking for help to alleviate the drastic change our family has been enduring these last two and a half months.

If there are funds left over after his recovery, they will be donated to a stroke charity.
