Hey yall as much of u know me and my brother's dad passed away on January 2 2025. Viewing and memorial services were taking care of but having a hard time keeping up with the bills. Really need the help. On December 27, 2024 my dad asked me to take him to the hospital , which he never does, because he wasn't feeling well with cold like symptoms. It was a Friday and they admitted him to run some tests. On Sunday December 29th into Monday the 30th i get a call that his oxygen levels were getting gravely low and they would have to intubate him. I found out later that day that he had a viral infection. I tried to be there everyday after work but on January 2 the doctors told me that his kidneys were not functioning correctly and they had suggested dialysis. The icu dr also that would just prolong the inevitable, meaning he was gonna die from this either way. We then had to make the tough decision and take him off the machines, which we did and within a couple mins he passed. I still can't wrap my head around how he went into the hospital with cold symptoms and dìe from a viral infection. I was never ready to let him go but I know he always wanted to be with mom who he has dearly missed for over 5 years.
