On the morning of December 23rd, two days before Christmas, my father Scott Slagle passed away unexpectedly due to heart complications.
Scott was a husband, father, and friend to many. He was a former marine and was proud to have served his country. In his spare time he enjoyed cheering on Seattle's sports teams, bantering with his colleagues, and taking his dogs for walks.
Above all else, he was an incredible father. Since a baby, he lovingly referred to me as his "Pookmonster" and I always remained his pride and joy. My dad loved and supported me faithfully over the years, which I am forever grateful.
Due to unfortunate circumstances shortly before his death, the life insurance he paid into for many years is no longer available to his family. We are left struggling to find a means to provide him a respectful burial, as well as pay for his oustanding medical bills.
At 21 years old, I never imagined having to bury my own father, nor to have to come up with the funds to do so. Being in the midst of the holiday season, I know money can be tight, but my family and I would appreciate any and all help during this very difficult time.
If any funds are raised beyond the goal, they will be used to help pay off students loans my dad took out to help me attend college.
