Hello Friends and Family. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write and share in my life, and I wouldn’t be doing this if my family didn’t absolutely need the help of our family, friends, and our community. Our dad, Concepcion Medrano, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma in late January , which is a cancer that develops in the organs. He has undergone radiation treatment and just started chemotherapy last week, so we are doing what we can to ensure that he has all of the support of our family and community to fight this thing with everything we have. It has been a hard few months and we have some even harder ones ahead of us.

For those of you that know our dad and for those that don’t, he is one of the hardest working, funniest, most loving, and charismatic people you’ll ever meet. He is heavily involved in the church and his community and volunteers so much of his time to make sure that the people around him succeed by leveraging the resources around them. When I was in the Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, our mom and dad always made sure that I received care packages with items to share with my fellow Marines.

Dad started having pain in his legs in early October that got so bad that he was not able to eat, sleep, stand, sit, or lay down. He was forced to leave work because of the unbearable pain and due to the amount of help he needs just to get around my mom is with him 24/7 to make sure he has everything he needs. This has caused some financial hardship and as you all know medical treatment, chemotherapy, supplements to keep dad strong, and just the cost of living is extremely expensive when you have no way of going out and earning money.

Asking for help with this is not something that comes easy and donating is also not something that we take lightly. We all have our own financial implications and hardships so we understand what it means to be asked to donate anything to someone else. Despite all of that, I am coming to you and asking that if you are able to donate or share this with individuals that can help in any way, shape or form, please help our dad give this cancer the fight of its life! Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you have any questions or would like to send some positive vibes our way, Call Marcelo or Javier.
