Dads Donuts By Dads Kitchen LLC

Hello,
My name is Chris Rue, and I am the Co-Founder of Dads Kitchen LLC. I started Dads Kitchen LLC with my friend of +25 yrs, Malcolm Beckwith. Dads Kitchen LLC started as a group of Dads sharing our love for creating culinary events for our families and friends in early 2020. We hosted cocktail workshops and cookouts and even catered over 15 events in a short time. Before you knew it, we had 4K followers and a feature cocktail in Glamour Magazine called the Bro-Quito. With all that success and momentum, we were still looking for something on which we could put the “Dads Kitchen LLC” spin. That next thing happened to be Donuts. YES, DONUTS!
So in January of 2022, we launched DADS DONUTS. The response from the Hartford community was and is overwhelming. Our first event was with Semilla Cafe + Studio. Their support in allowing us to do multiple POP UPS at their cafe was crucial to us being received by the community. Next was Parkville Market, where we were selected to do weekly Pop UPs for three months. Again the support from the Hartford community was overwhelming. After our first week, we were featured in the Hartford Current, and a story of us was run on NBC Hartford. Very humbling how fast we went from an idea to being featured in the news in 3 months. Far beyond our expectations this early. Yet our Hartford Community showed us they would support you if you make a great product.

This brings me to my ask today; we are in the process of launching our brick-and-mortar location in downtown Hartford with the help of The GOODWIN HOTEL and our mentors, Tyler Anderson and AJ Aurrichio. The support, guidance and opportunity received from these two are unmatched.
To make this dream a reality, we are starting a GO fund me page to ask for support from the community that has continued to inspire us from the beginning of this journey. What will your support help us do?
1. Hire Support Staff to increase production. Currently, Co-Founder Malcolm Beckwith drives two hours from Boston, MA, to cook and decorate our donuts.
2. Purchase new equipment to increase production.
3. Delivery Truck will allow us to do festivals still, pops-ups, and charitable events, along with delivering donuts to Cafés across CT.
4. Upscale the packaging and branding of our donuts.
We are so grateful that you have taken time out of your day to listen to our story. Even if you do not support us financially, the fact you took time out of your day to listen to us is just as valuable. We appreciate all of you and look forward to continuing our purpose of “ Spreading Love, One Donut at a time.”
Blessings.
