As most of you know, our dad found out that he had a rather large tumor on his right kidney. Turns out it was cancer. Within a week and a half of finding this out, he was set up for surgery to have the tumor and his right kidney removed.

On Monday, July 21, our dad went into surgery. The surgery ended up being 7 and a half hours long, but the doctor said he has good thoughts that he did get all the cancer out of the kidney area and his renal vein.

Dad has been in ICU since his surgery because his left kidney just hasn't been working like they want it to. So, therefore, he is having a port inserted and they will start him on dialysis.

Dad will be out of work for a while. The doctor said maybe a month, but it could be longer.

Our dad already knows that he will have nothing to worry about financially when he gets home, as us kiddos, me, my brother, my sister in law and my husband will do everything we can to take care of all the finances and anything else we need to take care of for dad .. We just wanna help our dad out and give his mind some ease that everything is going to be okay when he gets home, since he will not be working for a while. Anything is truly appreciated. I know our dad will be greatly appreciative of anything. Thank you again for all your prayers!! please keep them coming!!
