The story: "Dad's Camera" is about the relationship between a mixed-race first-generation student who is graduating from film school, and her working-class Latin-immigrant father. He is her biggest supporter, critic, and inspiration all at once.

A Statement from the Director: "My name is Sam, and I am the director, writer, and executive producer of a project that will be shooting later this month, then premiering at the Toronto Latin American Film Festival next month. The film is incredibly special to me and very personal to my life experience. It also reminds me of two of my favourite films: Aftersun and Real Women Have Curves."
