Fund for homeless SF mom and 3 kids

My name is Sheri.  While giving my daughter and her friend a ride to another friends house Saturday evening, the little girl told me her and her family are homeless and have been living in her mom's car.  I've known these kids for almost 10 years. I rented to them for 5 years and they've lived in a house on the east side of town for the past 3 1/2 years.  I had absolutely no idea that they had become homeless a few months ago.
The mom has worked two jobs for as long as I've known her. However, she lost one of the jobs after becoming homeless. She works at 6 am so the kids, 16,14 and 10 have to leave the mission or Dudley house when mom does for work. The 14 year old ends up sleeping in moms car sometimes instead of giong to school because she is so tired from the running around they are having to do in order to have a warm place to sleep.
They spend alot of time driving around when moms not working. They can't show up at a shelter until late and have to leave at 5:30am so mom can get to work.  Sometimes the 16 yr old keeps the car and drives around until it's time to get to school so he and his siblings can stay warm. 
My first thought was to get a hotel room for them for a few weeks so the kids can rest and they can be together for Christmas. My next thought... that doesn't fix anything.  I would like to use any money donated to get her and her kids into a home before Christmas.  The 16 year old doesn't have a chrome book for school because he owes over $300 for broken screens, etc. When I asked him what he wants for Christmas, he told me what happened and said he wanted to be able to get to his homework during and after school because he can't right now.  The school won't get him another one until he puts in the community service hours or pays what is due to the school. That's understandable but what do you say when your teacher asks where your essay is everyday.  These kids are paying a huge price for being homeless. Missing school, being hungry, being afraid , trying to do school work in the car and not sure where they will sleep tomorrow. 
We would like to use the money raised to help with housing, pay that school fine, help mom with gas and car insurance, put some groceries in their fridge if possible and help those kids have a Christmas.
I am so grateful for all of the people on FB who have reached out to me, wanting to help this family.  These kids are the same age as my kids.  But for the Grace of God....
