My dad has been given a second chance at life! On January 26th he got a call at 1:30am saying he had a liver waiting for him! Within minutes they were in the car heading to Charleston SC praying everything would go smoothly. Our God is AWESOME, and just a couple days later he's doing PHENOMENAL!
In the next few days we will prepare for a transition out of the hospital into a temporary place to stay for the next month.
My goal in this go fund me is to ease a little of the financial burden for the next month or two.
His wife, Pam, will be his caregiver and will take the next month or 2 off of work (with no pay).
While my dad is blessed to be able to work from home, it may be a few weeks before he can really get anything done. (Aka no paycheck)
Medicare doesn't cover cost of housing or food while they are here...and they will be left to pay 20% of the surgery. (I'm quite scared to see that bill )...I'm guessing it may be a monthly payment for a long long time.
But we are so THANKFUL! Regardless, we will help all we can and thank our Jesus for the amazing gift my dad has been given!
