Dear sisters and brothers.

We are sharing this message with you, as life is giving us an opportunity to support a person who has given so much to our universal family, I’m talking about Dada Nabhaniilananda.

Dada has been dealing with a sciatica problem for nearly two years, and this is affecting his sleep, meditation, mobility, and many of the activities he loves.

In the last few months, Dada has tried multiple non-invasive treatments, but now his doctors have recommended surgery to prevent nerve damage, and this problem becomes a serious health challenge for him.

He will undergo spinal surgery on November 25th. Doctors expect a strong long-term outcome, and they see no need for vertebrae fusion, which is fantastic.

We’re helping Dada navigate Medicare and insurance, which will cover much but not all expenses. He still needs our support to cover medical costs, food, medicine, and living expenses during the months of rehabilitation, and also the travel and support costs for Dada Subuddhyananda, his close friend, who is traveling from Europe to care for him during surgery and recovery.

So our goal is to raise $18,000.

Despite his pain, Dada remains optimistic, devoted, and endlessly giving. We really hope our community can come together to ensure his healing so he can continue uplifting us with his joy, humor, music, wisdom, and radiant presence.

Also, as you may be one of the people who helped support Dada last year when he faced prostate cancer, we are happy to share that last week his oncologist told him that since there is no sign of cancer in his body now, the planned two year hormone suppressant therapy he is undergoing will be discontinued three months early! That is excellent news. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make that possible.
