Hi everyone,
My name is Connor, and I’m reaching out during a tough time for me and my family.
I recently had a hemorrhoidectomy, a serious surgery with a long and painful recovery that requires at least 2 weeks completely off work, followed by 6–8 weeks of light duty. I work full-time in industrial construction, and unfortunately, I have no paid time off available to help us get through this.
I’m the sole provider for my household. My wife stays home with our two young boys (ages 5 and 2), and I’m responsible for all of our financial needs. I started with my current company back in February but was put in a pre apprentice program until recently and wasn’t even making enough to cover our monthly expenses so we burned through most of our savings over the past 5 months to get us to this point
The surgery alone is estimated to be $3,200 after insurance, not including the anesthesia and any additional hospital charges that are still on the way. On top of that, missing work means we’re going to struggle to cover our most basic bills while I recover.
I’ve never been the type of person to ask for help from anyone but I’m at a point that I don’t know what else to do.
We’re humbly asking for any support you can give — whether it’s a donation or just a share of this page. Every dollar helps keep our family stable during this recovery period.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting us through this challenging time.
— Connor
