Care for Disabled Daughter After Dad's Passing
Donation protected
On January 1st, our dear friend Charles unexpectedly passed away, leaving his wife, three daughters, and countless friends in shock.
Charles and his wife Tini, (Berentine) have been caring for their disabled daughter, Eszter (requiring 24-hour care), for years. His sudden passing has left Tini with the colossal task of providing care for Eszter on her own while making arrangements for her husband (even more challenging during Covid).
I know that many friends have asked how they can help. We are seeking emergency funds for the unexpected additional expenses associated with Charles' passing and to hire extra help for Eszter's continued care.
Many have been touched by Charles' compassion, intelligence, and the selfless ways in which he helped others. He was the first to offer to bake homemade crepes to bring to gatherings, share a smile, stories, laughter, and listen. He was a master of timing, dropping quotes into conversations at just the right moment, opening hearts with his non-judgmental way of speaking, and taught through example. He was a much admired and beloved teacher, inspiring real connection and genuine interest in all kinds of subjects (most especially "life") in his students.
He dedicated a large amount of time to completing complex book translations for which he did not charge any money. He did this on his own as a gift - as a service to humanity to share important information that he felt would be helpful to people. Some of these include the first two books by A'shayana Deane, Voyagers: The Sleeping Abductees and The Secrets of Amenti.
Living with compassion and resilience is not easy. Charles seemed to embody that concept and inspire others to open their hearts and minds by doing so himself. He and Tini did not have an easy life, yet in all these years, I've never once heard them complain. They counted their blessings and shined their light, remained open and honest, and made the best of every situation and each day, uplifting those around them in the process. His presence will be deeply missed.
Charles and his family gave selflessly of their hearts, talents, and spirit to many circles, groups, friends, and families. I know that his wife, Tini, and daughters Eszter, Hannah, and Nadia would be grateful to hear encouraging and loving words from you, and financial aid to help them with this transition.
