Hi, my name is Michael, and I’m a husband, father of three kids under four, and the sole provider for our family.
I’ve worked in and around cars most of my life — I grew up in the automotive world, and I know how to fix just about anything on a vehicle. So when my daily driver’s engine gave out, I knew what it needed. I can do the repair myself — I just don’t have the funds to buy the engine and parts right now.
With only one income, every dollar I earn already goes to rent, utilities, groceries, insurance, and raising our three little ones. There’s simply no extra for something like this, even though I can do all the work myself and save thousands on labor.
This isn’t our only car — but it is the one I drive back and forth to work every day. We have a family vehicle that my wife uses at home with the kids. Now that my car is down, I’ve had to borrow a car just to get to work, which means putting my wife in a tough spot and risking our whole routine falling apart if that borrowed car suddenly isn’t available. We’re barely holding this together.
What We’re Raising Money For:
• A used or rebuilt engine: $1250 (includes shipping)
• Gaskets, fluids, and other essential install parts: $298
• Steering rack & pinion: $190
• New axles, brakes, engine mounts: $385
- Front & Rear strut bar: $446
- Engine stand: $75
Total Goal: $2,644
I’m not asking for help paying a shop or mechanic. I just need help covering the cost of the parts — and I’ll do everything else myself. If I can get this car back up and running, it’ll take a huge weight off our shoulders and help us avoid more stress, lost work, or financial hardship.
Any donation helps — and if you can’t give, simply sharing this means more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
— Michael
