Hi, my name is Zoe. We recently discovered that my fiancé, Lonnie, has epilepsy or some other kind of seizure disorder. He has had close to 20 seizures in 2 weeks, been to the ER 4-5 times, and taken 2 ambulance rides. We have been battling with his insurance company for weeks trying to find a doctor or specialist to help us, but his insurance isn’t accepted anywhere. He is no longer able to work or drive, and can no longer perform everyday functions without supervision until we get his seizures under control. We can’t apply for disability until we meet with a specialist to receive testing and a diagnosis. He has a lot of pride and doesn’t like to ask strangers for help, but he is a small business owner, and now that he can’t work or drive, we have no way of making money, especially with me having to be on call to monitor his heart rate, assist with his seizures, and care full-time for his kids. His 2 sons just started kindergarten and preschool this year. If we don’t find the money to pay our rent and utilities, not only will we have nowhere to go, but we may be forced to transfer the boys to a different district during the first month of school. We are just so burnt out and don’t know what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated❤️
