My dad is one of the many fire victims who experienced great loss in the Glass Fire. He has lived in Calistoga on the same property since before I was born and it was his safe haven. He was out of town for over a month taking care of his mom back east when the fires broke out. After he heard about the fires, he booked a flight home hoping he could get to his property, but it was too late. Since he lives 7 miles out of town, insurance companies would not insure his home or property since it was too far from a fire station. There’s not much I can do but I wanted to surprise him by trying to raise some money to help him get back on his feet.
