Dad is still in the hospital &bills are piling up

Hello friends and family of the Alagons,

Our dad, Rogelio/ Bobot/ Bob Alagon, has been recently hospitalized. He went in for heart palpitations (CHF) on 8/15 and soon after they noticed he had a brain bleed. He was very disoriented and couldn't initially recognize family members or know the date or season. His short term memory has been slow to come back and he is so physically weak (unable to stand up by himself or walk). While recovering from one thing, his heart rate dropped and his BP went up and he placed back in the ICU where the doctors suggested and completed an AV node ablation. He is back in the unit and still being supervised while undergoing in-hospital PT. He is (hopefully) awaiting discharge within the next week but directly to an outpatient rehab facility so he can regain his strength.

He was admitted almost 3 weeks ago. His keys and wallet also got lost in the shuffle while he was being transferred numerous times (which we've been unable to recover from the lost and found at the hospital). This has caused additional stress on our family, especially my dad who is becoming aware of the severity of the situation.

Bills are now past due for my parents and my mom's income is not enough to pay all of the household bills. Medical bills will follow suit (3 weeks of medical stays which will be $$$$)
My siblings and I have taken on multiple jobs and are continuing to sell things to make ends to help them.
In total, what is due at this time is about is about $3,289 which includes the house payment, energy, lights, car payment, wifi, loans, car insurance, and cellphones, and even the tuition payment for my youngest sibling for the month. I've made the amount originally $1600 in hopes to exceed the amount as best as we can. I will up the amt closer to the amt owed to best ease the burden off my parents.

Now that my dad is more alert in his recovery, he is stressing out about the above items as he doesn't want to lose the things him and my mom have worked so hard to establish. This has caused fluctuations in his blood pressure (BP), his heart rate, and his oxygen levels which then makes him go in and out of the ICU.

Money, or the lack of, has been such a strain on my family where chronic stress throughout the years can lead to physical and mental ailments. This struggle is deeply tied to the decline of our parents' physical and mental health. My mom is doing her absolute best to hold it all together and her caretaking and leadership skills are really being highlighted at this time. We are in awe by how resilient my parents have been throughout the years including now.

I absolutely am saddened I have to create this GoFundMe but this has become our last resort.
I really don't want my parents to lose a thing while they're trying to take care of themselves and each other.

It will be a long journey ahead for my dad and we appreciate all the kind words and love received so far.

If there's anything you can spare at this time, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading this.

With love and light,

Valerie, Alexa, and Bianca Alagon
