"A Dad in need"
I am Stan Hill, a 72-year-old carpenter, struggling to help my son Sean, who has been left disabled and homeless after a major heart event. In May, 2018 Sean was found unresponsive, revived 3 times and then was transported by helicopter to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, WA, where he remained in Intensive care and was shocked 179 times to keep his heart beating. He spent 2 weeks in a medically induced coma. When life-support was pulled, and much to everyone’s surprise, he survived. The only thing he could remember was my name and phone number. The nurse called me to let me know that Sean had survived and—liked sugar in his coffee. Sean’s doctor has reported that Sean has a serious heart-valve problem. Sean is scheduled for another test in early January. The test will determine what treatment will be the next option in his recovery. I am trying to help him with his medical care and finding a place to live.
We have been homeless in Spokane for the last 3 weeks and are desperately seeking housing. Sean’s girlfriend, who died in a head on collision several months ago, left him an abandoned 5th wheel RV that has been vandalized and gutted after her death. I am helping Sean make it livable, and we have been staying in it without heat in recent days. It is winter here in Spokane making things more difficult.
I still need to work to support myself after having many heath problems in the last 6 years, including numerous surgeries. I have depleted the last of my savings during the last few months of trying to help my son. I’m up against the proverbial wall, and I am seeking financial help to get me and my son back on our feet. Thank you so much. Stan Hill
