In the Spring of 2021, then, 3-year-old Adeline was diagnosed with a rare &

devastating genetic disorder called Constitutional Mismatch Repair Deficiency

Syndrome. She receives chemotherapy daily and infusions weekly. With less than 500 known cases worldwide, it is a heart-wrenching diagnosis with a grim survival rate. Almost all people with CMMRD syndrome develop a variety of cancers, often multiple times, before age 18. In just her little five years of life - she has had 3 brain tumors, undergone 2 craniotomies, numerous MRIs, radiation, chemotherapy and trips to the ER. There is no cure for Adeline.

To add insult to injury, just over a year ago, her dad Ed, was diagnosed with a GRADE 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor. A recent brain surgery has left him with limited vision, a lack of mobility, and an inability to work. He is unable or care financially or physically for his family. He is currently undergoing chemo and radiation, but due to the serious illness, his medical needs are constant. While the family has hope, the prognosis is very discouraging, basically hoping for more time while sustaining quality of life. This family is in REAL trouble; physically, emotionally, and dramatically suffering financially.

Unfortunately, Ed has no life insurance. Understandably, Ed is so worried for his family, now and after his passing. Due to the current needs of Ed and Adeline, his wife Christine is doing an excellent job of caring for Ed, Adeline as well as their younger 2-year-old. This family of four are frightened, desperate,

and full of love for each other – Always hoping for the best, expecting the
