DACA Student Tuition Aid!

Ever since I was a little kid I knew that I wanted to go to college. It was my dream to be the first one in my family to have a degree. I wanted to set an example for other Hispanic children to also attend and graduate college. Throughout my academic career I have always pushed myself to be at the top my class and always give 110% no matter what I did. At North Central College I enrolled in the 3-2 for a B.A. in Physics and a  B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at UIUC. At North Central College I graduated in May 2018 with Magna Cum Laude with for my Physics degree. At UIUC I have also pushed myself academically and have been on the Dean's list for both terms and earned a 4.0 GPA for the Spring term. I am involved with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) as the Vice President of External Affairs. However, despite my academic achievements I am unable to fund for my last year of college because of my DACA status. Since UIUC is a public university, I am ineligible for financial aid from the state or federal government. This leaves me with a large sum to pay out of pocket. Unfortunately, my family and I are not able to fund for my final year and I am heartbroken that despite my best efforts, my financial situation could stop me from finishing my dream of completing my undergraduate college career. At the moment I am unable to pay off the debt from Spring 2018 term which would prevent me from attending the University for the 2018-2019 academic school year. By paying this term off I can attend the University and finish my degree in May 2019. Any amount helps and I am eternally grateful for your donation.
