My name is Clarence W. De Loach, and I’ve spent my life serving others—as a husband, a public servant, and a mentor. My wife Valerii and I poured five years of love and labor into renovating our home in Mobile, Alabama. We were just days away from refinancing when, on November 18, 2024, a devastating fire destroyed everything. We didn’t rush to social media. We grieved privately, hoping our insurance would do what was right. After months of silence, we were finally told under oath that State Farm did not believe we set the fire. But still—no payment. No relief. No home. Then, due to no fault of my own was involved in an accident while riding my motorcycle to the office. This happened at approx 7:30am on Airport Blvd at I-65 directly in front of the restaurant Sidelines and the roads were slightly wet, but mainly the reason was because of a distracted driver who was the cause of the accident. He told me and everyone who had rushed to my rescue, “I’m sorry man, I was texting my wife.”
I’ve since undergone emergency surgery to save my leg, drained every emergency fund we had, and haven’t been able to work since March 16, 2025. I’ve exhausted all paid leave, and we’re now struggling. We are still paying mortgage on a home that we can’t live in and lunch in a temporary rental home we’ve been forced into.We are not people who ask lightly. But we are at the end of our rope. We need help to survive this season and rebuild our lives. Your donation will help us:• Cover rent and basic living expenses
• Pay for ongoing medical care and recovery
• Bridge the gap until I can return to work
If you’ve ever known the pain of losing everything, or the strength it takes to keep going when the world says stop—we ask you to stand with us. Every dollar, every share, every prayer matters. With gratitude and hope,
Clarence & Valerii
