Our Mission Trip

PUTTING OUR FAITH INTO ACTION

"I command you be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or discouraged.  For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."   Joshua 1:9

           My wife, Gabrielle, and I are taking a big step in our faith.  We have decided to go on a mission trip!  We feel so blessed as God continues to work in our lives and are now being called to put our faith into action.
          We have always desired to do mission work.  God has laid out the perfect path while making the opportunity available for us to go to Africa. We will be part of a team traveling to Kenya to work alongside MoHI (Missions of Hope International) in the community of Pangani for 10 days.  Once there, we will be leading Vacation Bible School for 700 children who live in the slums of Nairobi as well as assisting local leaders in construction work, like painting the school.  Although we can not change the children’s situations, one of our main goals is to let these kids know that they aren’t alone, they are not forgotten, and our God loves them.       
           We are looking forward to experience this incredible opportunity together.  We will gain perspective, experience a new culture, grow in our own faith, and hopefully be a strong example of faith in action for our own children.
