The O’Brien Family

The Dan Sullivan Foundation is assisting The O’Brien Family with a Go Fund Me effort on behalf of Kevin O’Brien. All funds are specifically for Kevin O’Brien. Kevin has been battling the effects of Huntington’s Disease for several years. Huntington’s Disease is a rare neurodegenerative disease that effects the individual both physically and cognitively. It has similar characteristics as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and ALS.

Kevin is giving this a good fight but the disease continues to progress. At this point he is able to remain in his apartment with in home support provided by two people for a total of four hours a day privately paid..This will have to increase as his condition continues to decline. He has also experienced increased medical and dental costs that are expected to continue.

The goal of this fundraising effort is for Kevin to receive sufficient support to enable him to remain in his home for as long as possible while receiving the care necessary to maintain the best possible quality of life.
