Helping Hayden

Donation protected
On Wednesday, October 7, Hayden left home to pick up dinner for his family. On his way home, he was involved in a head on collision. We believe this head on accident was caused by a seizure.  He was in critical condition when he arrived at Louisville Med. We quickly learned that he sustained a spinal cord injury, spinal cord fracture, broken bones in his right leg including a broken ankle, deep lacerations to his face, and many more injuries. His fiance, C'iera was not allowed into the room due to Covid restrictions. She learned of all of his conditions without ever seeing him.

On Thursday, October 8, Hayden had his first spine surgery to fuse T2-T7. The surgeon was able to stabilize Hayden's spine. We were told he will not have full use of his legs and he currently does not have feeling in his legs. This is absolutely heartbreaking on so many levels. Hayden is the sole financial provider for his family. Hayden and C'iera have two young girls ages three and four. C'iera was able to visit Hayden today and reassured him that he is so loved and he will survive this. Hayden was kept on the ventilator to help his body heal and get rest.

On Friday, October 9, Hayden underwent his final surgery, for now. His ankle fracture was repaired and he has an external fixator to fix one part of his leg. They were also able to repair his femur. After he returned from surgery, he suffered from a minor seizure. We are awaiting results from an MRI. Finally, a plastic surgeon was also able to fix the deep lacerations on his face including his chin, eyelid, and into his hairline.

As of October 10, Hayden remains in the hospital recovering. He will hopefully be taken off of the ventilator within the next day or two.

On October 11, C'iera was told Hayden's spinal cord was severed at T9 and he will never walk again.

As of now, we are asking for financial help from all of Hayden's friends and family. Hayden and C'iera's apartment complex is helping them move into a first floor apartment, free of charge; however, Hayden is the sole financial provider.  C'iera has been diagnosed with MS and they already receive disability for one of their daughters who is deaf. Any monetary donation will go towards the following:

1. Medical bills accrued from the collision including but not limited to multiple surgeries repairing his spinal cord, ankle, and femur, hospital stay during this time of recovery, plastic surgery to repair deep lacerations to his face, and so much more.

2. Without Hayden's financial support, he and his family will need help covering rent, food, and daily necessities for himself, C'iera, and their two precious girls, Gracelynn and Savannah.

3. The car Hayden was driving was totalled and not repairable. Finding transportation for the family of four will be near impossible without help.

4. Savannah will need to continue her special needs classes for her hearing impairment.

4. We anticipate additional medical bills including but not limited to, rehabilitation, wheel chair needs, weekly medical check-ins, daily medication, and anything else needed to sustain a healthy recovery for Hayden.

Any amount helps and is more than greatly appreciated. We ask for your continued prayers for Hayden, C'iera, the girls, and all the family who will be making daily and weekly travel arrangements to help in anyway they can. We ask that you pray for all medical providers whose minds will help create a plan of recovery for Hayden and whose hands will help heal him.

*I have designated Kaily Page as the financial beneficiary of this gofundme account. Kaily is C'iera's sister and has set up a checking account specifically for C'iera to use in the above listed ways.
