Grandpa's Funeral

My grandpa, only grandpa I've ever known, was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer that spread in a matter of two weeks and he was gone writhin 6 months of his diagnosis. It has been a hard, hard couple months. My grandparents used to live alone. We rented out their house and moved them in our house. So we had many people here to care for him. The worst part I would say was watching him literally deteriorate right in front of us. In the beginning he was alert, but he was given 3 months to live with treatment (chemo). We gave him one treatment and he actually ended up in the hospital worse than before.. so he chose to do no more treatments. He wanted to live the rest of his life the way he wanted to. It began with him slowly not being able to walk, losing weight, then we couldn't help him walk to the bathroom anymore, so we started changing him in bed.. then he just slowly got worse and worse. In a matter of two weeks he went from completely coherent and talkative to nothing. Being a CNA before, & being pre-med, I helped my family care for him. Because of life and how money has been extremely tight, we are reaching out for help. We are NOT ones to post on here for stupid reasons. Our family has immense morals, values, and integrity. However, with how it goes when you pass away, we only have a specific amount of time to do the funeral. So we are asking for the amount because grandpa didn't want to be cremated. We want to give him the funeral that he wants. Please help us reach our goal... we would love to give him the funeral that he deserves even though we can't necessarily afford it. He deserves it. He lived a long, happy, full life and we want to remember him the way anyone should be remembered.
