As most of you may know by now, my best friend's son Charlie Cox was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer on Monday May 24 at the age of 17. Almost 2 weeks ago he had a knot form on his face and then he began having symptoms such as a lot of pain and numbness so he went to the ER thinking it was just something antibiotics would clear up. He first went to Miami Valley where they did a scan. They were immediately concerned so they contacted Children’s in Dayton who wanted him transported there immediately. He was admitted that day, and spent the week at the hospital being monitored and tested. With it being a holiday weekend he was released from the Hospital Thursday night. He went in for a PET scan Friday morning (May 28th). The family will return to the hospital Tuesday June 1st to meet with Charlie's surgical team. He will be admitted back in the hospital Wednesday, and will have surgery to have a port placed, spinal tap, and bone marrow biopsy. After that surgery, Charlie will begin chemo to shrink the tumor and then hopefully have surgery to remove it. Charlie's father Nick is the only provider for the family and they do not have any medical insurance. I am asking if anyone could please help with donations, prayers, and whatever you can give to help them on this road with medical and/or living expenses so that his parents can be with him during this road he is about to conquer. Charlie is a fighter and I know he has got this but financially and mentally they don’t need that stress on worrying how to pay the bills and any prescriptions he might need during this time. This is his Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/490957742331218/
