Bill passed away peacefully at home on 27 February 2026. Even though Bill was struggling with the effects of an earlier stroke and the increasing impact of vascular dementia his passing was unexpected.

Bill was a mining engineer and was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about everything about to do with mining in the UK. Given this and his later struggles with vascular dementia we would like the funds raised to go towards the monthly Memory Cafe held at Leigh Miners.
