Help Oliver Walk Again

Many of you have probably met Oliver and if you haven't, you at least know how much he means to me. To say Oliver is my world, is an understatement. If you know Oliver, then you know how special he is. He is the sweetest, most loving, loyal and partially human dog around. He is a lover and also a treat hog. He loves the sunshine, and his morning walks to see his favorite people along the harbor. If he is not with me, people often inquire about Oliver's presence. He loves his toys - throws them around to chase on his own! Morning snuggles are his favorite, actually, who am I kidding...this boys loves snuggles anytime of the day. He will continue letting you know that petting him is a constant if you are near him. He loves car rides, watching tv, parmesan cheese, flying, and his girlfriend Rosie.

This past Thursday morning (November 30 2023) Oliver woke up very uncomfortable, in pain and shaking. I thought maybe he flared up his lower back from playing, so I gave him one of his meds to help. He progressively got worse over the next couple days. I had to take him in for a check up and the vet said he seemed fine but his neck was probably strained. We treated him with more meds for help relieve pain and inflammation. I was out of state with him and the morning of our flight back to San Diego, he wasnt walking normal and "knuckling" with his front left paw. I knew carrying him through the airport wasn't an option so I purchased a dog stroller. We boarded the flight and when we landed 5 hours later, he coudn't stand or support himself at all. His legs have completely gone out. I rushed him to the emergency vet hospital unsure if it was from the medication or something worse. Turns out, it's not from the medication and something worse. He is currently staying at the hospital to be seen by a team of Neurologist. The hospital informed me he will need and MRI and most likely need surgery to treat his spinal cord and potential infections.

Minimum cost for all his treatment is $12,000. I do have pet insurance, but as you know; this is no guarantee and doesn't cover up front bills.

This is not easy for me to write, as asking for assistance seems unfair. However, Oliver is like a child to me and making sure he gets the care needed is number one priority. This unexpected expense has hit at a time where I can't manage the full financial bourdon, unfortunately.

If Oliver has touched your life in any way or you've seen how he's touched mine, please consider helping us get him back to normal.

I can't thank you enough for the support and know I will be forever grateful.
