Prostate cancer is a health issue that affects 1 in 8 men in their lifetime. When we learned this statistic, it became clear to us that at least one of us, or someone close to us, could be affected by this disease. This realisation has deeply motivated us to take action and raise awareness about prostate cancer.

We are; Oliver Philpot, Harry Cooke, Jack Lambe, Jack Barnett and Jason Tsangari, all students at Sandringham School, St Albans. After we finish our A-level exams towards the end of June, we will be taking on a challenge to help bring attention to the fight against prostate cancer.

In our challenge, we will start by climbing Ben Nevis before travelling down to Scafell Pike. We will finish our challenge at Mt. Snowdon within the time frame of 24 hours.

We believe that awareness is the first step towards early detection and successful treatment. We hope to encourage men of all ages to get regular check-ups and to understand the risk factors associated with prostate cancer.
