Hi everyone, my name is Lil, and I’m fundraising for my sweet dog Luna. Luna has been my heart and soul since the day I adopted her and her sister Hazel in 2017. They have been inseparable ever since, and they have saved my life more times than I can count, both emotionally and physically.
I live with epilepsy, and throughout every pre-op, post-op, ICU stay, and bad day, Luna never left my side.
Now, it’s my turn to fight for Luna.
At the end of 2023, Luna was diagnosed with a Grade 4 (out of 6) heart murmur. She takes Lasix three times daily to prevent fluid buildup around her lungs and heart. She’s gone from jumping on my leg and running in circles to barely lifting her head when I get home. Her liver is enlarged, and we are still waiting on more test results to understand what is causing it. She currently takes multiple medications three times a day just to help her breathe and keep her heart pumping at a healthy rate.
It breaks my heart to see the changes in her. She’s tired all the time, she doesn’t wag her tail when I sing her favorite Bob Marley song anymore, and she barely eats. The only time she seems peaceful is when she’s cuddled up with her sister Hazel or resting in my lap.
Luna’s birthday is July 17, 2017, and I’m praying she will be here to celebrate many more. But the medical costs are more than I can handle alone. Between vet visits, procedures, and ongoing care, it has become overwhelming.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward Luna’s treatment, tests, medications, and any procedures she needs to help her heal and stay comfortable.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page. It means the world to us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for supporting Luna and Hazel. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me keep my girl alive and comfortable.
With love,
Lil, Luna, and Hazel
