Asking for help for my family.

This is not easy for me. It’s tough asking for help, but we need it at the moment.
As many of you know, I had an accident on Sunday evening. David and I went to help a friend who’s car was stuck in the snow. The outcome of that has me at Allegheny General Hospital waiting for my second surgery. I dislocated and broke my ankle in multiple places AND fractured both my tibia and fibula.
You also may know that we recently purchased our first home and all of our saved money went into the house. This accident couldn’t have happened at a worse time for us, unfortunately.
I do have medical insurance. But, I will be lucky if it covers half of what’s to come in medical bills. I am
hoping to be eligible for short-term disability, but that can take 10-15 days for approval. And, my company changed their PTO policy this year, so I currently have none available. I just started back bartending and will not be able to return to that for a few months. When it rains, it pours. Am I right?
So, here I am. Swallowing my pride and asking my friends and family to help in anyway they can. Those that know me, know this isn’t an easy thing for me to do. But, when it comes to my family, I will do anything for them.
I am grateful for all of you who have already reached out in some way. And, most of you have asked how you can help or what you can do for us, well….this is it! This is the help we need.
Believe me when I say, I understand if you can’t help. That’s ok. If you could share the page to help reach as many people that we can, I would really appreciate it.
Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I have a very long road ahead of me in til I am fully recovered.
Again, thank you all for EVERYTHING!
