Hello,

My name is Kristy Gonzalez and I’m here asking for help. Niko, my best friend, my old man, my ride or die, was diagnosed on 11/17/23 with a mass on his heart. I am heart broken. With what was suppose to be a pre op blood work for a dental, turned my world upside down.

Niko has been part of my life since he was 8 weeks old. We had so many ups and downs but he never left my side through the hard times. Niko has been my life support for the past decade. I am here asking anyone who would take a minute to donate. I strive every day working as a Veterinary Technician to help all animals in need and hope you will take a moment to help my best friend Niko get on the road through Oncology Specialty. As you know, cancer treatments are expensive (about a grand a month just in chemo & medications) but anything helps! 

*Update - Echo 11/30/23 thanks to CVET in Columbia SC, Niko confirmed heart mass as Chemodectoma (initially diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma, a very aggressive cancer). Chemodectoma can be treated with long term Chemo (most likely for the rest of his lifetime). Please keep us in your prayers as this can be more manageable and help continue to fight for Niko. He’s been a happy healthy boy and even at 11 he has life ahead of him. 

I thank all my present and past veterinarians and technicians who have loved and helped us over the years. To friends and everyone else who are pet parents, and reading this I thank you for taking your time and sharing/donating to help keep Niko as comfortable. I will never give up on him as he has never given up on me. So I ask you join me on the Fight Cancer for Niko. Anything helps. Love you all.
