UDLE - At Uni Deliver Love for Everyone
UDLE has been a place for students, staffs, and locals, to connect, laugh, and enjoy Japanese and Western fusion meals alongside coffee and creative boba drinks. But now, the café is facing its final month. Without $5000 by December 31st, UDLE will have to close its doors for good. So sad.
ABOUT UDLE
UDLE is more than just a cafe, it's a community. It's Marco’s dream brought to life. From the very beginning, his vision was to create a space that brings people together, a community hub where strangers become friends and everyone feels supported and love sharing. Through his innovative boba drinks, affordable meals, and events like hotpot and game nights, Marco has always prioritised building connections over making profits. Now, this dream is in jeopardy.
UDLE SOCIAL IMPACT
- Offer more than 100 free food packs for students who are in need in the University
- Setup ChangeMakers Hub to empower more than 100 people to make a difference in our community
- Provide free venue space for student fair and art exhibitions
- Food catering for student clubs with very limited budget
- Support green movement through reusable coffee keep cup initiatives
- Free workshops for students who have difficulty finding a job in Australia.
- Sponsor student events throughout the semesters.
- Fundraising campaign for local community
- Collaborate with NGOs to provide training opportunities in the café for refugees and new immigrant
- Organise barista training classes to help students find job more easily
- Collaborate with university two teams final year students capstone project. (Marketing, Business, IT and Design)
- Every year X'mas time work with students together prepare food and go down to the Hawthorn different areas to share food and care for the local homeless people.
- Holding a book fair, movie event and library to promote the multilingualism in the community.
UDLE STRUGGLES
With rent, bills and operational cost at $5000 a month and the usual crowd of students and staff gone for the summer holidays, Marco finds himself running the café entirely alone. He juggles everything, from cooking, cleaning, sharing with customer, to managing, doing all he can to keep UDLE afloat. But as December 31st approaches, so does the possibility of UDLE’s story coming to an end.
OUR GAME PLAN
To save UDLE, we are launching a 30-day campaign to raise $5000. This will cover the rent, operational cost, and give Marco a fighting chance to survive the summer lull. This is not just about keeping a business open; it is about preserving a space that has brought so much joy and connection to so many lives.
