Help Christy rebuild her life
Donation protected
Christy needs our help. A little over a year ago she married the man she fell in love with. Her husband, a musician, worked at a Bullfrog Music in Corvallis, OR. The shop owner was looking to retire. The young couple put their modest retirement savings into a downpayment on the shop. Though this put them in significant debt, it made sense because they were purchasing a small, well established business, and her husband was able to work at the shop full time which eliminated the cost of employees.
A few months after taking ownership of the shop Christy’s husband was diagnosed with colon cancer. This came as a shock, as he was only in his 30’s. His condition quickly deteriorated, and he passed away several weeks later.
A few short months ago things were going well in Christy’s life. Now she’s faced with the loss of her husband along with a very difficult and stressful financial situation. Christy has no knowledge of music, or musical equipment, which makes it nearly impossible for her to run Bullfrog Music herself. Suddenly she’s faced with payroll expenses, her retirement savings gone, and she has significant debt on a store that she lacks the skillset to run. The store looked like it would become a viable way for the couple to support themselves, but, instead, it has become a financial disaster for Christy. To make matters worse her husband did not have life insurance.
The goal of this go fund me campaign is to raise the funds needed to alleviate the financial pressure and stress that Christy is facing. This will help give her the space to grieve the loss of her husband and begin the process of healing.
