Family Home Burnt In Fire

Hi, my name is Michelle and I've set up this fundraiser to help my family and their neighbours in the Philippines, who have lost everything due to a house fire. The fire took place on Sunday the 23rd of April and around 5 houses burnt including my uncle's family home they grew up in for over 60 years.

It breaks my heart to see all the videos being sent of everything being burnt and what still remains, has gotten absolutely drenched by the water that stopped the fire.

So what I'm asking if for your helping hand, big or small to donate even $5 to help with food, clothing, repairs of infrastructure and get a roof over their heads.

posting videos and photos of the progress on my Instagram to keep you all up to date.

For those of you who don't know, I won a free trip through 90.9 Sea FM and Scoot Airline last year and I although the original plans didn't work out to go with my husband, I recently decided to surprise my mother with a trip to go back to her birth country, as her birthday present. Although this is not what we were expecting or hoping for, I feel like I've been given the opportunity now, to help those in need first hand. Once i get over there I'll be able to help with the clean up and hopefully raise enough to get the process started for the rebuild.

It's absolutely heartbreaking to see my uncle's house and their neighbours in ashes. I remember being a kid, climbing the stairs to the second level and waving to my friends off the balcony and now thats all burnt. To think I have a roof over my head and they don't, breaks my heart.

I had planned to use my 20kg luggage to donate clothes and once I get there buy underwear, clothes, shoes and necessities to help tho effected.

100% of the proceeds will be going to those families who have been affected.

Hey family & friends.

Just an update on what's going on. We found out there have been 78 people who have been affected. 15 families including my own.

Half of what have been raised have been sent yesterday to get their roofs for their homes. They can now start rebuilding asap especially because the rain season begins next month.

WE GOT THEM A ROOF!

So Thank you everyone who has donated & shared. Please keep sharing, they need so much more to get their basic everyday living set up
