Taylor's Transformation!
Donation protected
Hi! I am India, Taylor's cousin...although growing up, we may as well have been siblings. Exactly 11.5 months apart, we spent the last 32 years both hating and loving each other, growing together, living apart, or even in the same house.
On February 15th, Taylor turned 33 years old, and took a huge step into transforming into the person he is meant to be – by visiting with a doctor about gender confirmation surgery, including a double mastectomy and chest contouring. Despite working for Trader Joe's and having quite good insurance – the out-of-pocket expense including follow-up visits, etc. will run around $5900. After injuring his back and being off work on medical leave for the last 10 weeks and just now returning to work, he isn't yet able to afford the full cost, and the timeline has been pushed back.
While we have a plan in place to save money, we all know that Taylor is too proud to ask other's for help. I know that there are others like me who just want to see him happy, healthy, and living his truth. I'm hoping that together, with your help, we can speed up the process and get Taylor closer to achieving his goals.
If you can spare any amount (every dollar counts) I know he would be eternally grateful, as would I. He isn't currently aware of me posting this, but I will share it with him once there are a few bucks raised. All proceeds will be kept in a separate account to go towards medical / living costs associated with this surgery and time spent off work.
Thanks for reading!
