Over the following days, Ollie remained under intensive veterinary care as the team worked to stabilize him. Despite their efforts, his kidneys were not able to recover.
On Friday evening, April 10th at 8:00pm, we made the incredibly difficult decision to let him go.
Ollie was surrounded by the people who loved him most in his final moments, and he passed peacefully, without pain or fear.
Ollie had been part of my life since he was just a few weeks old—the runt and the only male of his litter. Even from the beginning, he had a personality that was impossible to ignore. He brought so much energy, joy, and life into our home, especially alongside his brother, Marty. The two of them were inseparable, and their bond was something really special to witness.
This fundraiser began as a way to support Ollie’s surgery and recovery. While the outcome was not what we hoped for, the support we received made it possible to give him every chance and provide the level of care he needed in his final days.
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared, and reached out. Your support meant more than I can put into words—not just financially, but emotionally during one of the hardest moments of my life.
I’ve created a video tribute in Ollie’s honor to celebrate his life and the impact he had on all of us.
Thank you for helping me give Ollie the care, dignity, and love he deserved until the very end.
