Hi my name is Jill Martinez, I am a wife, mother of 3 and grandmother of 1 and soon to be 2. I was diagnosed with stage 2A HER2 breast cancer in April 2019. I have had 6 rounds of chemo and continue with hormone therapy infusions every 3 weeks. I have a scheduled surgery and radiation will begin in November.
I am on short term disability while I receive treatments; however the disability payments have been reduced from 100% of my pay to 65% and I am now responsible to pay out of pocket for medical and insurance benefits.
It is hard to reach out and ask for help; but with the reduction in income and increased expenses I am now finding the need for financial assistance to continue with my treatments and cover expenses.
I thank you for taking time to read my story and I appreciate any help you can provide so that I can concentrate on healing and continue to fight breast cancer.
