Our Josie, the Pussycat, needs major surgery

If you know anything about me (and the boys), you know we're cat people. If we're friends on Facebook, maybe you've gotten hours of fun watching the endless stream of kitten and cat videos I post (or maybe you've long ago tired of it, but still have some general cat empathy). Well, now we're in a tight spot. Our little gal, Josephine, at the ripe old age of 3 has a herniated diaphragm which has resulted in some not so great things going on inside her that need tending to at the low low price of (so the vet's estimate reads) $4500-$6500. Zoiks. I don't know about you, but that's not anywhere in my budget. But also, we love her so. We cannot do nothing or lose her so early in her life. I turn to all of you in the hopes that my cat posting or a general appreciation for kitties might inspire you to throw $5 or $10 into the pot and help us try and save our kitty without being bankrupted. I hope you know that we will be eternally grateful for your support and will, of course, keep everyone posted on how the surgery goes and when Josephine might be able to return to her and our world of kittydom.
