A nurse in need
Donation protected
A RPN (registered practical nurse) is in need.
We would like to introduce you to Michelle. She is the mother of 5 amazing children, one of which has increasing medical needs, a wife, a nurse of over 20 years, a friend and someone who is loved by many. As a testament to her character, she just won the “Coach of The Year” award in nursing. Like most people (especially those independent “I can do it all” types) she was hesitant to accept help from outside sources. Including friends and strangers, but has very humbly agreed for us to post this and fight for and more importantly WITH her.
Recently, Michelle was diagnosed with Stage 2 invasive mammary carcinoma breast cancer. Just that word alone is terrifying. Cancer. Those that have been touched by this debilitating disease know that it is scary to put your gloves on and fight (or assist in the fight). It does not discriminate. One case differs from the next. The same diagnosis can have vastley different results. BUT what does remain constant is the fight, support, prayers and determination NOT to let someone you love fight alone.
Her journey is just beginning, and we know this will be a long battle of treatment, recovery and change both physically and emotionally. The last thing we want for our dear friend, is to have to worry about anything other than fighting this terrible diagnosis.
We are hoping we can get NOT just a village behind her but a community! We understand this is a financially difficult time for many. But we hope you will able to donate, any amount adds up and is appreciated beyond words!
Michelle has cared for so many people in times of sickness throughout her career with kindness, compassion and heart. Now it's our turn! Let's show this amazing nurse the same love she has shown so many!
