My name is Michele Wolfe, and I am starting this GoFundMe for a good friend of mine, Wendy Currier.
As some of you may or may not know, Wendy was recently diagnosed with several forms of Cancer. She is now in a Rehabilitation Hospital in New York State.
Yesterday, she was given the news that she has Stage 4 cancer and it has metastasized. She has several tumors on her spine that are making it impossible for her to stand or to walk. Wendy is receiving treatment, and physical therapy and is trying to stay positive and focused.
Wendy and I worked together for many years as co-directors of the Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry in Canaan, CT. She is a bus driver who has probably driven several of your children. Wendy loves her job, and took special care of each and every child she drove. She has always given freely of herself to help anyone in need. Now, it is our time to give back.
Please help me to help Wendy relieve some of her financial stresses as she fights to gain insurance and move to a rehab closer to her family.
