On Friday September 27th 2024 Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina and Tennessee. Our dear friend Patrick Toups was up on his property across from the Nolichucky River when the storm hit. He was able to head to higher ground (with Hassa - the cat in tow) and thankfully made it through the storm. As many of you know, Patrick has been working on this property for over 5 years. Many of us have sweet memories in this house and on the front porch. Unfortunately, the property was devastated and the old farm house did not make it. As the waters rose, Patrick watched the river take away his house down stream. This is our time to rally around him and support him in any way we can.
