Hi friends,
I have been invited to attend a life-changing week of events and I need your support to make it a reality and supercharge my momentum toward making a profound positive impact on people’s lives.
While many of you know me as a jovial, endlessly energetic creative who builds camps, organizes events, art projects, and community, I’ve been struggling mightily for the past few years. Self-doubt, paralyzing fear, and a string of unfortunate accidents have kept me from reaching my potential and sharing my unique talents and gifts with the world. These beliefs undermined my progress, disappoint friends, steal time from my kids, wreak havoc on my finances, and create bouts with anxiety and depression.
Well… No longer!
Recently, I have faced my fears, wrestled my demons, and am in the process of moving completely from fear into love. The inability to ask for help has been a large hurdle to surmount; my passion for helping others has to start with the ability to first ask for help myself . There is no going backward! I’m overflowing with gratitude for my friends who have helped me to reemerge with such excitement and focus. I am joyfully and diligently taking responsibility and stepping into my power. I’ve regained my passion and rediscovered my purpose. I am relaunching with a clear plan that will create dramatic beneficial shifts and transform the lives of the people that experience what I’m creating.
Despite my challenges over the past few months, I’ve felt honored to be invited to attend and speak at Burning Man Leadership Conferences and to be recognized as "a trailblazer, a thought leader, and a social change-maker”. In August I was invited by the Burning Man Project, together with the Esalen Institute, to participate in an upcoming series of workshops in Big Sur, CA from October 14 - 19, 2018 focused on Art, Culture, Leadership, Play, and Collective Impact. These programs, each run by some of the most respected and experienced thought leaders at Burning Man, offer me the tools, training, resources, and environment to accelerate the development of my professional venture.

The Five day program including accommodations, air, shuttles, and other expenses comes to $2300. I’ve requested $2500 to cover GoFundMe fees and possible increases in the program (assuming their least costly available option is still currently available)
To ensure I can still secure this option, I need to register as soon as possible.

1) Why is this program so important to you?
I’m a uniquely gifted creator of artistic experiences and meaningful events and these workshops will put me face-to-face with other creative visionaries, many of whom I will likely not only learn from, but also likely get to collaborate with. I will have the opportunity while there to explore funding options, network with influencers, inspire and be inspired, and strengthen my already close ties to many movers and shakers in the Burning Man community. I will undoubtedly learn of new ways of doing things and explore opportunities that can more effectively bring my vision to life. I’ve benefited greatly from participating in the Global and Regional Leadership Conferences in the past, but this is more targeted and specific to what I need. Plus, it couldn’t come at a better time for me!

The workshops will take place at the magical grounds of the Esalen Institute. Workshops will be taught by Dana Albany, Stuart Mangrum, Harley K. Dubois, Dr. Isabel Behncke and Dr. Beau Lotto, and finally Marian Goodell.

2) Why are you only asking for $2500 when you mentioned that you have some additional financial “havoc” or need in your life?
Attending this event is critical to me. When I first received the invitation, the formally fearful and defeated me dismissed the opportunity, like I had done so many times before, hoping to “maybe attend at some future date when I had the resources”. Now, I realize that I belong there this year and that I am able to ask and graciously accept support. Allowing myself to be humble yet unashamed as I face beliefs that do not serve me and come to my friends from a place of love and not fear has also allowed me the courage to ask for help here on a larger platform. This is where you come in. If you can offer financial support, please do so even if the requested limit to attend the workshops has been reached. As some of you may have experienced at some point in your lives, this difficult time has resulted in a struggle to pay some critical family expenses so every bit of your generosity will help me to get back on track quickly.
