In Loving Memory of Rojo Castillo

Early in the morning of November 28th, my aunt Laurie woke up and my uncle, Rojo, was not breathing and unresponsive. The paramedics tried to revive him but he had already passed away. Not only was his wife at home but all of his four children as well. For a long time, Rojo has struggled with an enlarged heart condition. However, his passing was unexpected and sudden as he was only in his 40s.
To know that his heart condition was that of an enlarged heart seems to fit my uncle's personality perfectly. He loved so many people and is beloved by so many; his family—dearly by his children—his friends, and his community. He was generous and kind. Everyone in the neighborhood wanted to stop and see Rojo at his Filipino food truck or be in his Sunday school class.
It is difficult, even impossible, to describe the grief felt by his wife and children. His oldest daughter, Whitney, is a senior in high school. His son, Peyton, is 13. His youngest daughters, Logan and London, are eleven and nine. The road ahead for them is a hard one. And it seems to hit a little harder during this holiday season The financial burden of a funeral, medical bills, and the months ahead are not stresses we want to add to the grief of losing their dad and husband.
These funds will be used for medical bills and paramedic charges, funeral arrangements and costs, and living costs for the family. The sooner we can help ease these financial obligations, the better for the family. We want to try and reduce their stress in any way we can.
