Ivy has been with us for some time now, she has always been a relaxed little girl since being rescued off of the street and TNR'D. However, she hasn't been herself for the past couple weeks, last night I did a brief exam and noticed she was jaundice in her ears. We went to the vet today and she has been diagnosed with FIP after a CBC blood panel was done. I just sent her Prescription into BCP pharmacy in Houston, I know it will be expensive, between $250-300. This vet appointment alone was already $298. We have already received a $50 dollar donation from Stacy on instagram but we still have a ways to go.
We are very familiar with FIP, so we are confident she will be ok. I have to syringe feed her every 2-4hours and her treatment will last 84 days. After that she will need a blood test ($88) to confirm she is clear of the virus and she will go into observation for another 84 days.
This is a long process and it means most likely she will not get adopted because of it. Please consider donating. We are already stretched thin and unprepared for another FIP case. But we are here and we are going to tackle it head on for this beautiful girl.
