*The Action Trackchair

My name is Naomi Clark. I am from a small town in Massachusetts. In the summer of 2005 I crashed on an ATV while riding on our family owned and operated apple orchard. Landing on my head "just right" or "just wrong", I broke my back in 3 places as well as breaking 4 ribs. The accident left me paralyzed from the chest down. After my hospital stay and rehabilitation, I moved to Arizona to participate in an intensive out-patient rehabilitation center. I then attended ASU and graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After graduation I decided to move back to Massachusetts to live and work on the family apple orchard. I am the 5th generation on the farm and take a lot of pride in helping the business continue. *My late horse, Stroller, and I in 2004. 

Living on a farm isn't very wheelchair friendly and can be incredibly frustrating. I am very limited with my manual wheelchair because of all the rough terrain and hills. I would benefit so much from an Action Trackchair but cannot afford to pay for one out of pocket. Insurance won't cover this chair because as far as they are concerned, one wheelchair is enough.

This electric Action Trackchair would enable me to get out and enjoy all the acreage I live on.  I could also walk my dogs, pick our blueberries, plums, peaches, and apples without assistance. I can't express how much freedom this chair would give me. It would also make our annual family trip to the beach something I would enjoy! When we go to the beach, someone has to carry me out to a beach chair and then I'm stuck sitting there until we leave. This new chair would enable me to enjoy the beach! I woud love to "walk" on the beach with my Fiance.
