Hello, my name is Jennifer, Im the Manager of Family Dollar in Elm Grove , Wv. If you know me you know you know I'm all about helping other and not one to ask for help, But right now I need help. With the recent flooding in Valley Grove /Tridelphia area my house was one of MANY that got hit. It hit hard and fast , in 7 minutes we went from fine to under water , we were able to climb the wooded hill behind our house to a well pad to get to higher grounds and safety. By the time we were able to safely come down of the hill and walk down 40 to our house I couldn't even believe what I was seeing and the amount of water that was between me and my home . We were unable to get our animals out but they all went to higher places in the house and were all alive when we were able to finally get to them . We had about 3 feet of water throughout the whole house resulting in losing pretty much everything we have . All my furniture, beds, appliances, pictures, sentimental items but we are lucky to have our lives. We have to start over with almost nothing. We're living out of bags but have a safe place to stay for the time being . I'm emotional, physically and mentally exhausted . Still digging , sorting and trying to clean and save items that we can . My life is all out on the lawn covered in mud . If you are able to donate, anything will help if not just share . All money will go to replacing furniture, appliances, clothing. THANK YOU!!!!
