This gofundme has been set up to help the Huffstutler family as Zach fights cancer. There are many costs already arising and more will come. My hope is to ease the financial worry so Marc, Casey, and Ethan can focus on supporting Zach.

At the end of February Zach was doing lab work for his EMT program. Some labs came back abnormal. After further testing and a bone marrow biopsy, the results show Zach has been diagnosed with a form of blood cancer, very rare for his age. Zach then had to quit his job and school after just turning 21. His Stanford team is now following Zach and involved with a plan of care and the next step is Bone Marrow Transplant. They are currently following up on two very positive looking matches. Zach has received one round of conditioning chemo. After all donor testing and the go ahead to go to Stanford for the bone marrow transplant is given Zach will be admitted to Stanford hospital for approximately 30 to 45 days. After discharge the Huffstutlers will need to find an apartment within a 20 mile radius from Stanford for 2 to 3 months. This is due to multiple appointments weekly, and the high risk of returning for any type of complication.

There is a long road ahead but Zach is an incredible young man! He is surrounded by amazing friends and family. If you are unable to donate, well wishes and prayers are greatly appreciated.
